“Bombolonis, not bagels
fewer Ferraris, more Maseratis.
But all the Italian brands were present—motorcycles, too.”

Dolce e Veloce
Macchinissima x Petersen
Petersen Automotive Museum
6/8/2025
When the Petersen Automotive Museum asks you to curate their Italian cruise-in — and you finally get your inner child to stop hyperventilating — there’s only one answer: YES!
Whether you grew up visiting the Petersen, wide-eyed and obsessed, or discovered it as an adult when you arrived in the city, you dreamt about the cars within. This place isn’t just a museum — it’s a landmark in L.A., and an icon in the world automotive scene.
We poured everything we love about Italian machines into Dolce e Veloce, and you all showed up in a big way. Over 130 cars and bikes, 1,500 guests, and a mix of rare legends and rolling art that felt straight out of a dream. From Daytonas and Diablos to Zagatos and Jollys, the lineup was electric, and the vibes matched it.
Huge thanks to the Petersen for taking us on this adventure, and to our incredible sponsors and community for helping make the day unforgettable. We’ll be talking about this one for a long time. Until the next ride — andiamo!
“Dolce E Veloce Replaces The Enzo Cruise-In At The Petersen”
“The Petersen, meanwhile, enlisted the good people who have been putting on the Macchinissima car shows: Mike Baum, Bronson Page, Dorian Valenzuela, and a host of volunteers. Those guys did two car shows in LA last year that were magnifico, like a slice of the Old Country in little nooks and crannies of greater Los Angeles.” - Mark Vaughn
