Macchinissima began with

a shared frustration.

For about two years before launching the event, Bronson and I kept finding ourselves let down by traditional concours shows. Sure, the Italian cars were beautiful. The people were nice. But the venues—typically golf courses—felt stuffy and a little lifeless. We missed the buzz of a real party, the energy of younger enthusiasts, and the kind of joy that first drew us to Italian machines in the first place.

When we met Dorian and told him what we’d been feeling, he didn’t hesitate.

“Car shows need more of

a pulse,” Dorian said.

So we got to work. We imagined something bold and unexpected: part punk rock, part Villa d’Este, and totally Los Angeles. A curated celebration of Italian cars and motorcycles—vintage, modern, and modified—in a setting that felt vibrant and alive. We wanted to gather friends, showcase everything from coach-built rarities to daily drivers, and build something with real cross-generational appeal.

Turns out, we weren’t the only ones craving something different.
